The 31th night the taxi drivers will collect five euros more than the other nights as well as they did it last 24 th night.
According to them, they collect two euros because is weekend and three euros because is a special day. But, I ask that is special the service or not. Will they give us a glass of champagne inside the taxi or they will sing us a Christmas song? Will they see us to our bed and wrap up us? I don’t understand anything. “They stole it from us”!
On one hand, the society try to convince the population to get a public transport and we mustn’t drive car if we drink. And, on the other hand, in a special day as next Sunday, when most of the people go out and drink a lot and it’ll be very difficult to find a taxi , you have to pay more.
All the people wouldn’t get any taxi this night but finally people will pay anything to go out without car and drink without problems.

Well, in reponse to your post I honestly must say that I understand their point of view. I earn extra money at my work on days like December 25th and January 1st, so, from that point of view, why couldn’t they earn extra money on special days? I don´t know if you have ever worked on those days. I have been working on those days many times and I can sure you that it is not a pleasure to let your family to go to work, specially on those days. On those days you pay more for everything not only for taxis, so, I think they worth that extra money.
I quite agree with Ladybird even though I have never worked during these dates.

I agree with ladybird beacuse if a person works a free day, they have right to earn more money and specially these days when families dinner or lunch together.
However, I also agree with Lenxa with her (or his) comment about public transport. It's very easy to say we have to take public transport instead the car and it would be correct if public transport had a bit better than it is. Every two months the tickets prize increases but the quality doesn't go up. I've taken London, Paris and Madrid tubes and these are much better than Barcelona subway, the frequency of some line buses are not related with its people concurrence. At night you have to take the "nitbus" and it frequency is very low, and the subway is closed, then the only two choices are to wait to the nitbus or to take a taxi.
To conclude, I think while public transport wasn't cheaper an better, they will increase the prize and people will accept it
